Club Member Stan Webb, originally from Cisco, TX, winters in Austin, but spends the summers cruising with us, staging from his home (”Port Paula”) in Kennebunkport.
I was fortunate enough to meet Dick Clark a few times over the years at various broadcasting things. In the late 90's he came by my office here in Austin (see the goofy photo attached) trying to sell me an affiliation with a radio network he was involved with. He always seemed like such a friendly guy... and always seemed interested in what you had to say. In addition to what we all know him as... a TV icon... he was also a very smart business man!
RIP Dick Clark.
